ICE Agent Bragged After Shooting American Citizen Five Times

On October 4th of last year, a violent ICE officer giddily bragged about shooting a young woman in Chicago, five times.

One of Donald Trump’s masked thugs was caught bragging about shooting Marimar Martinez in Chicago, texting about firing “five rounds” into her body and saying that “s--t happens.”

To be extremely clear: federal agents shot U.S. citizen Marimar Martinez five times and then tried to blame her for their attack. The agents spun a false narrative that Martinez had chased them and rammed her car into one of their vehicles, but their BS case against her fell apart as more evidence came out, ICE’s story changed, and the charges were dropped.

“The government told the people they were targeting the worst of the worst, but their actions demonstrated otherwise,” she told the hearing.

“They are targeting individuals who fit a certain profile, who simply have a certain accent, a non-white skin color, just like me.”

As Martinez testified on Capitol Hill on Tuesday about the abuse of force by ICE agents, Democrat Robert Garcia read out a series of text messages sent by the agent who shot her.

In one text, the shooter linked to an article about the incident and bragged: “I fired 5 rounds and she had 7 holes. Put that in your book boys.”

“Oh well, it is what it is,” said another text, followed by a third: “S--t happens.”

Garcia described the texts as “disgusting and shameful”. I’d call them “punishable,” but hey, I’m not in Congress.

“This is someone that works for the United States government. It’s our understanding that he was actually bragging about his aim in shooting an unarmed American citizen. Is that right?”

“Correct,” Martinez replied.

As the disgusting messages were read out, in the audience were the two brothers of the murdered mother, Renee Good.

These attacks on US citizens have been non-stop as Trump and his cabinet of friends have brought war-like “shock and awe” tactics to the quiet suburbs of America. These unpopular tactics have left Trump and the Republican Party vulnerable as they realize, in real time, that most decent human beings find their heinous deportation strategy repugnant and their Gestapo-like ICE agents catastrophic to the Constitution.

Those tactics were thrown into the global spotlight last month when Good, a 37-year-old mother of three, was killed by ICE agent Jonathan Ross after saying to him “I’m not mad at you dude.” In return, Jonathan Ross shot her three times and coldly called her a “fucking bitch” right after.

Renee Good’s two brothers, Luke and Brent Ganger, told lawmakers about their living nightmare, saying that the family initially took “consolation” that Good’s death would “bring change in our country,” Luke Ganger then solemnly added, “and it has not.”

During the hearing, Texas Democrat Greg Casar held a 3-minute and 26-second moment of silence, representing the amount of time Renee Good was left to bleed out as ICE blocked medical assistance from bystanders and EMTs from providing aid.
